Paramount Plaza is another one of those bonus-plazas like Liberty Plaza, a public/private space required to be open to the public 24/7. Occupy Broadway is a 24 hour occupation from 6PM Dec. 2 to 6PM Dec. 3. Enjoy the show with Ben Shepard of Time’s Up, Reverend Billy, the Rude Mechanical Orchestra and a cast of thousands. No one can tell the difference between spectators and participants.
I caught up with the Labor rights march that started out in Herald Square when they reached Washington Square Park on there way to Liberty Plaza the original home of Occupy Wall Street. Liberty Plaza or Zuccotti Park, since OWS was evicted, has been turned into an unpleasant “free-speech” kettling zone. There is more actual free speech outside the perimeters.
Saturday after the eviction. Captain Ray Lewis smiling inside the fence and some great signs.

Signs, people and celebrities in this slideshow from this past sunday, the day after a nasty pre-winter storm. The piled up garbage bags are wet clothes and blankets waiting to be laundered and dried. Russel Simmons hip-hop magnate and Josh Fox fracking filmaker were there.
Three Occupy Bangorites (occupybangor.org) came down to Wall Street to see how it’s done and share expert tips on keeping a tent warm.
Early OWS general assemblies were held in Tompkins Square Park underneath the American Elm Tree held sacred by Hare Krishna devotees. Underneath this tree is where their movement started. I took photos in July and September there prior to the occupation of Liberty Plaza. OWS Day 40
