Newly pasted on the side of street art landmark, Candy Factory. It’s an affecting piece, based on a photo by Martha Cooper.
The Fairey piece on the dumpster has been there for several months, behind is what he is putting on the side of that spaceship hotel on Bowery. So far it looks like wallpaper, better than the faux graffiti it replaces, but he must intend to do more.

One of once a pair flanking the amphitheater in the East River Park the other one is gone this one is broken. I thought they were painted bronze, but no this looks like fiberglass.
East River Park – Slow Going

Whatever work is being done to the East River Park Promenade is happening at a glacial pace.
When I was there this morning, none of the heavy equipment was in use.
The East River Park Environmental Learning Center has been closed to the public and staff since the construction started.

Brandie Bailey Ghost Bike Returns

The cops clipped locks and carted off all the bikes along Houston Street for Obama’s motorcade up and down Houston Street when he spoke at Cooper Union the other day. Someone retrieved the bike, but the memorial plaque is gone.
