| Meow Mix, the famous Lower East Side girl bar, is closed. The sign on the fire escape indicates that the building is for sale. I was only in there once, seeing a friend’s band. But another friend used to live in the apartment right above the bar. Her floor would pulsate with the music. I don’t know how she stood it.
