East Sixth St.---The Morning After
As I found them.

Trash Weaver

Trash Weaver

If you look at this closely you will see that the wire is woven into the trash container. I suspect it is the work of a homeless guy I call the Trash Weaver. He likes to weave stuff into chainlink fences and such.

Trash Weaving

Someone is weaving random bits of trash into the fence on East First Street near Bowery. My flash reveals an unexpected sculptural quality at night.
In daylight it’s less sculptural and more like a filthy sidewalk, but closer to your face than usual.
Further east on East First Street, more stuffed trash. Plus another one of those faces.

Trash Circles

England has crop circles, NYC has mysterious trash circles. Or at least that’s a theory I’m working on. Is the person who hung these on an iron fence on St Marks Place the same person who hung that decrepit xmas wreath I talked about in last Friday’s entry. Or maybe it’s being done by chupacabras.
