Judging from the mode of attachment (a heavy braided steel cable), my guess is that it is a JJ Veronis piece.

Mystery Spoon welded to heavy cable attached to parking sign pole. I suspect it is the same artist who did the keyboard (shown in the Dec. 25 blog entry). Both have been there for many months. Second Street off Avenue A.
