SantaCon NYC 2003
Pg. 8 - Chelsea - Club Spirit - Saturday December 13, 11 PM
< Pg. 7
I joined a small Santa contingent who eschewed the subway for the bus. This is the only photo I have of me. In general everybody liked my pole. On the bus everyone passing grabbed it, thinking it was a bus-pole. One beautiful Santa ran her tongue down my pole, then the lovely Santa Quad used my pole to give a pole-dance on the bus. My pole got much more action than I did. Photo by Santa Clown.

Happy dancing Santas.
I left the Santas around 1 AM. But I hear that the Santas went onto another bar afterwards.

I put the remnants of this cheap felt suit back on to get this photo before putting it away until next year. I've decided on the name Santa (everybody loves my) North Pole. The pole is a cardboard tube covered in white paper and red electrical tape. It was nice being able to lean on it during the long Santa day. But it was a pain having my hand tied up having to hold it. The glowing icicle is a lucite rod decorated with hot melt glue and packing tape and lit up by a blue LED keychain light. Next year I need a suit that is not so delicate, has pockets and is easy to get on and off.

It was funny even though this was my first year as a Santa, people kept asking me which way to go next, all because I had this stick. I should have seen just how far they would follow.
