Wind Machine

They are still shooting that movie around Tompkins Park. (Update, they were shooting “Rent”) This wind machine on Avenue B has beautiful carved wooden blades. I wonder how old it is.

Movie

It was a jolt seeing this old style NYC cop car on Avenue A. The blue body and white top color scheme was first used in 1973, and they switched over to the current mostly white with blue decorations in 1999. A movie is being filmed in the Tompkins Square area. I saw their equipment on Avenue B as well as on Avenue A. And they were filming on 9th Street when I passed.
