Liberty Plaza, Day 16. An occupier of the Madison, Wisconsin Capitol visits Occupy Wall Street. His message is “jobs, jobs, jobs.”

You may notice that my latest videos have much better sound quality. This is because I am now using an MP3 recorder as a mic and syncing that recording to my video file in post. I would have done this earlier if I had known that my MP3 player could actually do high quality recording. Out of the box, it defaults to a low bit rate .wav file, and I never saw the settings to bring it up to a 128 MP3. I’d previously tried doing this with my piece of crap Sony mini disc recorder, which is so awkward with the wires and idiotic recording contros that it made running the camera and running the recorder at the same time hopeless. I was happy to find out that the timing on the mp3 and the QuickTime file on my camera sync easily with the simple “slate” of me slapping my knee while camera and recorder are rolling.
