Rats and Pigeons in the Morning
Sunday, August 21st, 2011
I’ve never seen so many rats in Tompkins Square Park. This is probably because they have stopped using poison for fear of killing the hawk who occasionally comes around and eats a rat or pigeon. I’ve never seen the hawk on the ground. I have heard that they may pump hot air into the holes to kill the rats with heat.
Rats eat garbage, which we produce in heaps. Leave them alone, we need them.
