Thanks for the post/video! I am the barefoot girl in green! We are from NYC Bhanrga and are performing a gidda (with a little Bollywood flair) dance here which is a Punjabi women’s folk dance. We perform and teach Bhangra (another Punjabi folk dance, traditionally done by men but now performed by men and women alike), gidda, Bollywood and other Indian arts all over the metro area and have opened up a performing arts school in Journal Square, NJ.
I hope the joy of the dance leads more people to come in and join the celebration of life!
