Melting Concrete Heart
Sunday, October 31st, 2010On the front wall of the Candy Factory in Soho. Andrew Sutherland is the artist. This one appears to be made of concrete, others are made of wood. They were put up all over downtown Manhattan at least five years ago.

cool! you found another one of these!!!
Yeah, this one is in a kind of obscure location, at the 2nd Avenue F train exit. It’s so dirty that it blends into the general filth there.
Marc Schiller of the Wooster Collective identified this artist on Sunday’s walk. Does anyone remember the name? I’ve searched the wooster site but only came up with a 2003 post prior to them knowing who it was.

wow… good to know!
I don’t know if "know" is the operative word as yet, C-Siren. It is something I vaguely remember after Lucky Dog reminded me. I’m hoping for a lazy web answer from Flickrites in the know, and there are so many of them.
I’ve seen it called both a heart and a moth. But I think we’re all just guessing.
Someone on Flickr knows, I’m sure of it, SReed. Flickr knows all.
found it.
