Poor thing, alive but probably not for long, standing unresponsive in the middle of the busy sidewalk on East Houston Street.

There have been many dead sparrow sightings recently and someone suggested it’s due to the seasonal migration and they are smacking into windows.
I know I see sparrows in NYC all winter long, but maybe they are out-of-towners passing through and not used to our tall building. I felt especially bad after my recent encounter with the singing prodigy in the 6B garden, referenced above.
