I found some of my old photos from 2006 where I also asked whether or not something was up with this building. At the time, the doors were open and it looked like work crew was inside, so that set alarm bells off in my head. Maybe it just gets ‘cleaned’ every four years?
Was the wall completely buffed when you saw it a few weeks back?
The happy face was there, along with those 3-D figures above the freight door, the cat stencils and a pair of shoes glued to the plywood, but not much else.
whoa… looks like a little cleaning went on there…
