Heading to the parade on Ludlow Street last Sunday.
The parade started a full two hours after the time stated, after standing that long my legs cramped up and I bailed. I was too far from the action to get any good shots anyway.
This is such a fine shot – the colors (especially how the row of balloons break up the cold wintery scene), composition, and little bit of sun flare up top!!

Thanks Irene. At the actual parade it was very frustrating. The parade started a full two hours after the posted start time, and I was stuck three people deep from the barricades, shoulder to shoulder with humanity. When it finally started and I saw how little I could see, and how cramped my legs were getting, I bailed. Next year I’ll get there later in the afternoon when the lions are visiting all the businesses.
Yeah, I absolutely can’t do it…for the reasons you described.
