Slushapocalypse 2010 – East Village

Friday, February 12th, 2010

I wrapped my camera in plastic wrap and took it out into the wet blowing snow.

Though I purposely let the drops accumulate on the plastic in front of the lens, for the cool light effects, next time I’ll wipe it off more often. The camera remained dry under the Glad food wrap, which had the additional benefit of acting as a wind screen for the microphone.

  1. All in the cause of duty. I am impressed by your dedication to bring New York life to me. Thank you dear Gammablog. I love this video. (Those poor cyclists.)

  2. Our secret is revealed, yes, I do it all for you, doc. Cool new icon.

  3. I knew it I just knew it.
By the way, have you seen the other YouTube films grouped with yours? They are insane. Loads of films of people wrapping each other up in plastic wrap. Check it out. I had no idea people could enjoy themselves so much for so little money.

  4. How fun!!!!!!!! The light flares and blurs are so pretty…along with the audio of feet crackling in the snow, wind, cars on the road, etc. Looks so pretty and dreamy!!

    Finely captured…
