Candy Factory Paste Haven
The Candy Factory on Wooster Street in Soho, now that the Candle Building has been renovated and the Meat Packing District has been sanitized, is the only place in Manhattan to find such a variety of pasted paper street art. This Chaplin paste-up is by Mr. Brainwash a French graffiti documentarian turned graffiti artist.

Reverend Billy for Mayor

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Mike Bloomberg’s $100,000,000 self-financed mayoral campaign is probably unstoppable (leading by 12 points in the latest CNN poll). I’ve received close to a tree’s worth of fliers in the past few months from the mayor, and just yesterday I got three robo-calls from Bloomberg. But Bill Thompson, the Democratic candidate, has left me totally uninspired. The Green party candidate, Billy Talen (Reverend Billy) if nothing else is inspiring. Give the Green party some mayoral love and vote straight Democratic otherwise.

Melted Mask

Melted Mask
With the rain melting the paper mache, the mechanism for making my jaw hinge up and down lasted until 14th Street. But the costume still gathered a lot of appreciation.
The rain thinned out the numbers of participants and audience, but the parade was still well attended.
