Quick Spicy Tofu and Greens from GammaBlog on Vimeo.
This is the first episode of Vegan Bachelor Grub, depending on the reaction, it might be the last.
1/2 pound of Mustard Greens
1/2 cake of Tofu, 7.5 oz.
1 1/2 T. Soy Sauce
3 T Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 – 1/2 t. Red Pepper Flakes
1/8 – 1/4 t. Garlic Powder
1/8 – 1/4 t. Ginger Powder
1/8 – 1/4 t. Ground Black Pepper
I had been thinking of doing this, but I was inspired to actually do it by Marc Maron’s Angry Chef segment on Maron v. Seder.

  1. FANTASTIC! I LOVE IT!– well done, chef. no, excuse me, rather: Not over done, chef. Just right!

I can’t wait for the next episode!!!!—
    you’re a wizard of wonder!
    Please do more, pounds more!

  2. looks good. real good. got any spinach dishes?

  3. You could substitute spinach for the greens in this recipe, db.

  4. Marvellous. I will be serving this tomorrow.
Is there any particular wine you would recommend with this dish?

  5. The Gammablog’s sommelier is off for the weekend, but whatever you get, make it organic. :)

  6. Yum! It came out great (couldn’t find mustard greens so I used spinach). Thanks for this – here’s another vote for more episodes of Vegan Bachelor Grub.

  7. Am hopeless. Sorry did not see your reply earlier.
Unfortunately I cooked this splendiferous meal before checking. I served it with Old Peculier – which seemed most apt and of course beer is the next best thing to organic wine.

  8. I enjoyed watching you cook again. I still use only cast iron. I will try this out. Looks good. I have to admit I am no longer a vegetarian, but I still enjoy it at times. I think to go with the ginger and soy sauce a dry Reisling would do well. Perhaps one from the NY lakes district, which has some of the worlds best now.
