Delancey Construction

Delancey Construction

Suffolk Delancey
The whole block of shops between Suffolk and Clinton Streets on Delancey are shuttered and surrounded by construction sheds. Don’t know if it is another hi-rise, but that seems to be the trend.

Gradient selection on the sky, then adjustments of levels and shadows/highlights. Took it last Friday. I guess it is showing up as taken today, because it was saved as a psd. I just edited the date back to the 4th.

this demo started without a permit and without a sidewalk shed a few weeks ago.
then the roof partially caved in….
    shed arrived the next day.

    so much construction….
    so much of it luxury.

    but what do we get?

budget cuts for the schools, with more on the way.
nothing for nothing, but won’t anyone actually fucking tax these fuckers and start teaching our kids?

that rant was just the tip of the iceberg!

i mean… seriously, with all of these zillion dollar condos being added to the nyc tax base shouldn’t the city and the schools be worried about how to responsibly manage the insane flood of cash?

is it really that all of these scumbag developers have gotten tax exemptions and sweetheart deals?

    ……..fume…….

Hey Adam, just take a look at the NYC Dept of Buildings, real estate tax dept web site- the 9 story building I used to live in on Houston and Broadway, the 2001 assessed value of the building was listed as $8,919,000 and believe it or not, the real estate property tax bill for the year was $871,207.92- almost a million dollars a year in tax on ONE 9 story building! what I want to know is where is all that money GOING and how much winds up in bank accounts of the crooked brass!!!!

i do agree, and i really respect the public decision/announcement she made a few years back to stop dyeing her hair and reject the notion of starving diets, and other "work", "augmentations" etc.
    makes her even more attractive.

that being said, i’d rather she not be a shill for shitting!
