Chimes

Chimes

A set of chimes I made yesterday for a performance in this year’s LoveSphere. Maybe assembled would be the better description as all it’s components were scavenged from earlier instruments.

LOVEspHERE 11

I’ll be performing from 7:30 to 8:30 but you can spend the day. Lovesphere happens on or around the vernal equinox, this is the 11th one and it is going back to it’s roots, improvisation.

This is an 11 hour compostion, where each artist takes a single note, around which they improvise and compose. I’m listed here under my old band’s name, Gametone (pronounced gamma tone). This was Gamelan based percussion, on instruments made from found objects.

A typical Gametones gig

But my performance this year will be primarily, sample based with live vocals, and some tuned percussion. If I had been paying attention when the poster was being created I would have just gone with my name.
