Shadow Shroud

“For centuries no one has been able to explain how a photonegative image of a man could be three-dimensionally encrypted onto linen by medieval forgers unable even to appreciate the completeness of their own art. The Shadow Theory postulates that such an image could be created using only painted glass and sunlight.” via geekpress

Repair the Vote

From MoveOn PAC:

Doubt about the integrity of the electoral process undermines our democracy. To restore confidence in our vote, sign this petition to Congress demanding immediate electoral reform. Our goal is to deliver 200,000 signatures to Senators and Representatives when they return from their Presidents’ Day recess. Our petition is:

“Congress must support electoral reforms such as guaranteeing paper receipts for electronic voting machines, providing remedies for long lines, and prohibiting partisan election officials.”

SF Photobooth

My über-geek pal Wrybread has set up a photobooth in his San Francisco digs. It uses two laptops and a Canon Powershot camera to capture strips of four photos, then print and immediately upload them to the web. Some of the images are NSFW. The above is from the photobooth’s debut at a sushi/sake/karaoke party.
