Artist indistinguishable from art. The annual artist invasion of Tompkins Square Park. The Howl Festival.

Update 11/25/04, via email:
“I intentionally weave myself into the art as a result my visage and the background form one” work of art” Lisa Renko”

Artists are given segments of a canvas that extends around about a third of the perimeter of the Park. Many of this year’s paintings were anti-Bush, this one made me laugh.

Little George Washington was known for not being able to tell a lie, but little George (Pinocchio) Bush is known for not being able to tell the truth. I can only guess that he is chained in the doghouse out of some personal preference of the artist.
