Lychees

Lychees! These magical fruit are still in season, but if I remember right it is getting near the end. So go get some before they are gone. You first see these in Chinatown sometime in June. Wash them and then puncture the skin with your thumnail to slip off the skin. It tastes a bit like a honeydew melon. The texture is moist and tender, and the juice squirts onto your tongue as you nibble the flesh off the pit. Yum!
