Airport’s George Kennedy is King Braccus, and Leonard Nimoy is Baffled to return from the dead with psychic powers. Plus Clones, cavemen, The Man with the Power, Exo Man, Dr. Strange and a solar powered astronaut superhero. Lots of laughs in this apparent segment from an unnamed TV show.
Yesterday, blogger Alan Breslauer met Karl Rove before Rove was set to give a speech in Los Angeles. During the encounter, Breslauer unrolled a banner reading “Free Don Siegelman†which Rove reluctantly agreed to hold. – thinkprogress.org
(CBS) Is Don Siegelman in prison because he’s a criminal or because he belonged to the wrong political party in Alabama? Siegelman is the former governor of Alabama, and he was the most successful Democrat in that Republican state. But while he was governor, the U.S. Justice Department launched multiple investigations that went on year after year until, finally, a jury convicted Siegelman of bribery.
Now, many Democrats and Republicans have become suspicious of the Justice Department’s motivations. As correspondent Scott Pelley reports, 52 former state attorneys-general have asked Congress to investigate whether the prosecution of Siegelman was pursued not because of a crime but because of politics.

I’ve loved science programs, ever since watching GE spokesman Don Herbert in ‘Watch Mr. Wizard‘ as a child. ‘Look Around You‘ (2002) is a spot-on BBC parody of such programs. The pace is a bit slow, but each ten minute episode has at least one full belly-laugh.This episode, #3:’Germs,’ is not for the delicate of spirit. Do not try these experiments at home.
