EPA TO ALLOW PESTICIDE TESTING ON ORPHANS & MENTALLY HANDICAPPED CHILDREN
The rule allows for government and industry scientists to treat children as human guinea pigs in chemical experiments in the following situations:
1. Children who “cannot be reasonably consulted,” such as those that are mentally handicapped or orphaned newborns may be tested on. With permission from the institution or guardian in charge of the individual, the child may be exposed to chemicals for the sake of research.
2. Parental consent forms are not necessary for testing on children who have been neglected or abused.
3. Chemical studies on any children outside of the U.S. are acceptable.

EPA Scientists & Workers Call for an End to Water Fluoridation Because of Cancer Risk
Eleven EPA employee unions representing over 7000 environmental and public health professionals of the Civil Service have called for a moratorium on drinking water fluoridation programs across the country, and have asked EPA management to recognize fluoride as posing a serious risk of causing cancer in people. The unions acted following revelations of an apparent cover-up of evidence from Harvard School of Dental Medicine linking fluoridation with elevated risk of a fatal bone cancer in young boys.

| These baby mustard greens are about three weeks old, and three inches high. My windowbox greens garden experiment continues. I mixed a small amount of stale five year old green juice powder with the soil before I planted the seeds. It’s the only thing, I had on hand, that I thought might make a good organic fertilizer. This second batch does seem a bit heartier than the first, but it is marginal. I might seed the bare patches, even though if I took the seed pack’s suggestions, they’d be spaced five inches apart . |

Heirloom tomatoes from Evolutionary Organics at Sunday’s Tompkins Park Greenmarket. Get your’s before the first frost denies you the opportunity.

They were tasty, juicy, and brought back memories of home grown tomatoes of yore. Last winter I bought some delicious dried heirloom slices from Evolutionary Organics, they were great.
I’m not really treading on City Rag’s "Eat This" territory here, I mean this is vegan and organic.

Demonstration in Union Square Park by Falun Dafa, claiming that practicioners of Falun Gong are being tortured and murdered in mainland China. faluninfo.net
They put on an effective presentation. Could that be what an authentic Chinese guard uniform looks like. The makeup on this bound woman was realistic, and pretty nasty looking. Another demonstrator was confined in a cage, too small to stand in or stretch out.
The people in the background (some in yellow shirts) are doing the exercises. Falun Gong remind me of Tai Chi. Here’s some online instruction, including video if you want to try this out for yourself.
China maintains that they are a dangerous doomsday cult.
This article in the National Review gives some background and another take on the situation.
