Ageloff Bones
They appear to be doing serious structural work on the Ageloff Towers on Avenue A.
It is interesting to see the steel girders beneath the brick.
What must it be like living in those corner rooms while this is going on.

Adventure Teddy in what looks like a Mexican wrestling mask and tin foil diapers. Avenue A and 4th Street.

Adventure platypus under a watertower. Avenue A and Seventh Street. Your guess is as good as mine.

Avenue A

Sun peeked out of the clouds briefly this afternoon.Ageloff Towers in the background. According to New York Songlines, my favorite resource for info on Manhattan street by street: “This apartment building with cool Assyrian detail was built by developer Samuel Ageloff for $2.5 million in 1928, hoping to lure the affluent to what was then the Lower East Side; the 1929 stock market crash put a crimp in this plan…” NYC JPEG has photos of some of those “Assyrian details.”

Update – 1/18/05 – I bundled up to get my own photo of the entrance art. This is the East Third street entrance.
