Swoon print on pasted together Chinese newsprint. My photo doesn’t really capture the presence of this piece. That is, it looks much better in person. The birds are a stencilled collaboration with Jeff Stark. |

All the prints in this posting are on Halleck Street, Red Hook, in Brooklyn. |

This group of four plus the pigeons is the largest Swoon print I’ve seen. Other groupings I’ve seen have been separate prints pasted together. |

This one seems to have been here awhile. |

| From the look of the hand I called this one a Swoon. The others looked to be from another artist, Solovei. Swoon herself set me straight – “So the mermaid is solovei’s and i am sad that it is half down cause it was the best piece ever in the whole world. rising out of the blue line on an old shipping building.†|

| This print is almost gone. It was pasted over ” In this town I’m the leper with the most fingers.’ – Christian Paine More Christian Paine |

“I love the way Swoon’s stuff decays. Unlike trad graffiti, her wheatpasted prints and cutouts live on city walls, they wear and wither through seasons; it’s hard to make something that will fall into ruin beautifully. Her tatters hold poetry, partake of their environment.” Jace on Mudd Up! |
