During the transit strike on Thursday Morning. A blurry photo, but it illustrates a really stupid policy. The cops were redirecting bikes from using the "emergency vehicle lanes," by trying to force them into traffic. The lane could easily have been shared by both emergency vehicles and bikes. It’s not like the bikes couldn’t have gotten out of the way if needed. The same thing was going on with barricaded side streets, set aside for emergency vehicles and city officials.. As you can see these bikers managed to avoid this idiocy. View Large
