This was my favorite homemade costume. It recycles, has robo sounds and music. And he was doing agile robo dance moves, pretty amazing in such a bulky costume. It looks like he can only see straight ahead, and I don't see any way for him to see his feet, but he did appear to have friends accompanying him, carting the music, I guess they helped keep him from tripping. |

The temperature hovered around 70 degrees,
ideal weather for the parade.

of which, I didn't smell or see any of this,
this year.

| Another interesting homemade costume, it looks a bit uncomfortable for the puppeteer. She needs to bend over and use arm extensions for the front legs of the dog. I wish I'd seen it in action, I shot this before the parade started. I wonder if she still had such a winning smile by the time she made it to 22nd Street. |

vital to the parade, helping keep the energy level high.
