the whole point of these installations is that they decay from neglect much like a burned down old tenement or squat that these bird hovels are supposed to mirror in real life.

I think it is the same one I photographed in February. These things often stay up way longer than I would expect, being they are so ugly and so easily gotten rid of. This one would come down with a single slice of a box-cutter. They may be spared out of fear of destroying a nest, but I doubt that any sane bird would move in. They are the work of a Swiss artist.
