The skilled and sympathetic filming of this event is extraordinary artistry! . . . The pathos is visceral, the solemnity measurably sensed and experience by the viewer. As if I were there. As if I too was a devotee of St. Martin de Porres. Beautiful work.

This is the most astonishing photograph of the East Village flora, of Tompkins Sq. Park, or Village Nirvana! . . . The depth of the greens and contrasting colors of the tulips, the bushes center-ground like sheep in a meadow–cannot but gaze enraptured into this mystical land.

i can now see the white around the eyes and see it’s like a robin, but that yellow beak is all i could see at first in the earlier photo and i thought it was a starling… lovely pic…and it seems it might be sitting in a hawthorne tree?
