  1. Great video and photos! Actions speak louder than words – the Occupy movement is showing it can do government better than government does it.

  2. Gammablog correspondent Magic Chris filing this report. I went to that church today and my volunteer efforts were completely needed and helpful. Now I have to keep track of a Google Docs spreadsheet (shared between 3 locations providing hot food, canned food, blankets, diapers, needed other supplies etc) on Tuesday to see which blacked-out buildings need food when, yikes! My job is to keep track of the food requests and communicate that to the kitchen staff and chef. If you can go there anybody, go! If you can get off work on a weekday or otherwise spend any part of any weekday this week or the next or on into the future, even better – this will be an ongoing need! I sense that they might have close to enough volunteers on weekends when most people are off work, but weekdays might be harder to fill.

  3. [...] Clinton Avenue in Brooklyn. Call the church number (718) 638-0686 to offer your help, if you can. View this earlier post for more information. The pews are filled with emergency supplies to be sorted and shipped where they are needed around [...]
