Kitchen or Dining Room?

On Third Avenue between 11th and 12th an old brick building is being torn down.
I was at first thinking this was a kitchen wall.
But the wallpaper looks more like something for a dining room. Could this apartment have had a dining room?
Maybe just a shitty sense of taste in wallpaper!
Could be a hipster bathroom.
