Continuing my project to identify the trees of Tompkins Square Park. This elm tree is the first elm tree on the right when you enter at the SE corner of the park. I’m confident that it is an elm, my guess for species is ulmus americana.

I’m trying to develop a logical way to name the individual trees. It might make sense to name the major paths of the park and reference the trees to compass points along those paths. This should at least get me started.
