LES Night

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Essex Night
Trying to rescue the pixels from digital noise, I applied some filters. My camera is pretty noisy in low light. Essex and Stanton Streets.
Orchard Night
American Apparel was throwing off enough light to illuminate this scene. That’s a toy truck on the right. Orchard and Houston Streets.

Monday afternoon – Barry Mcgee aka Twist on the Deitch wall at Houston and Bowery. Written over night. I like it a lot better up close than how it looks from a distance. This is apparently the base layer, more paint to come.
On the scene coverage from The Art Collectors.

Green Portland

Monday, August 30th, 2010

Portland Flowers
Portland is green almost everywhere. I never saw these flowers being watered. I don’t think they are plastic.

Portland Industrial
I also got to go to the stinky, industrial part of town, but note the green hills in the background.
