I Can't Afford to Love NYC
Shepard Fairey’s Obey Giant logo is hidden by the Heart NY poster, clever placement.

  1. Well, you have a better eye than me for all this! These are new to me ;p

Yes, I forgot what it was at first, but then there was this weird antique furniture and chairs and ice cream parlor thingy going on… not like East 4th where I am and everything makes sense Ha

  2. Damn, always way ahead of me, just photographed one on East 5th… saw the Obey just a couple of days ago (I assume this is E3rd and 2nd av, looks like the Crazy Landlord sign) and I don’t think that sticker was there then

  4. I’ve been seeing those can’t afford posters for a couple of months. Yes it’s the crazy landlord building. That place is one of those mystery spots in the neighborhood that has had me wondering for years. Now at least we have an official notification of it being due to insanity.

East 4th is where all the cool kids hang.

  9. Go out? We’re lucky if we can afford to stay in.

  10. ouch . . i read somewhere that people in New York open up unlicensed bars for a week at a time in the back of a workshop or studio with cheap drinks . .

  15. Not enough of a drinker to be able to sniff out any cheap booze for you, jumboism, but it must be out there. You might have to subway to the boroughs.
