Flat Stanley at Astor Place
Flat Stanley came up from Myrtle Beach to stay with me for a week. This morning we went shopping at Trader Joe’s.
Here he is posing in front of a Jim Power streetlight mosaic.

Flat Stanley at St Mark's Church
Flat Stanley learned that in 1651, Petrus Stuyvesant, Governor of New Amsterdam, purchased land for a bowery or farm from the Dutch West India Company
and by 1660 built a family chapel at the present day site of St. Marks Church.
Stuyvesant died in 1678 and was interred in a vault under the chapel.

  1. That was great! I hope Flat Stanley enjoyed the walk around town as much as I did.

  2. Are you sure Flat Stanley didn’t eat all your Soy Creamy sandwiches when you weren’t looking? My son Isaiah is laughing at and enjoys Flat Stanley. He thinks he’s “funny”.

  3. hilarious–
so, the sandwiches have been a hit.
tell Mr. F. Stanley he’s a trooper, and i’ve learned so much from him.
    kisses.
