I saw this being pasted-up on Tuesday by a group of four people. They had a scaffold. I’d forgotten to take my camera with me, it would have made a good shot.
When just the head was pasted, I thought this was a boy. But the appearance of the pregnant belly and a nipple the size of a trash can lid, has changed my mind. That corner building is undergoing renovation. They just painted over the Shepard Fairey print that was on the corner facing Bowery. I suspect that this may be an art project approved by the building owners.to discourage graffiti, though someone has already tagged it.

Yeah, I know, it shows up more from across the street. If I didn’t see them put it up I might have passed by without noticing.
