Swoon – Swimming Cities of Switchback Sea from GammaBlog on Vimeo.

This was one of my favorite pieces from Swoon’s show opening, last night at Deitch Projects in Long Island City.

Swoon had help from 75 collaborators in putting the show together, and the result of all that collective labor is spectacular. Get to the gallery before sunset. It is best in natural light.

Looks like one hell of a show!
Your icon made me laugh veng. Yes, the show was jaw-dropping.
oh my, this is beautiful
Yeah, it appears to be a painting. I hope she does more. Were you there last night, billi?
totally stunning.
it’s an etching. look closely at the line quality. with white highlights.
Ah, thanks guy. It’s nice to have such expert consultants. I was surprised not to see you there. So, the white highlights were painted on. I would like to see what Swoon could do with oil.
Excellent, G!!
No Gamma, They cut our staff at work by 10% last month and the lucky ones left have been picking up the pieces by working nights and weekends. Can’t wait to see this in person. Dope Video BTW.
@ET: The line quality looks too fine to be an etching. Unless it’s an acid etch based on a line drawing. But what do I know?
I was bummed to miss the opening, I have just been slammed with work. Planning on getting out there this weekend.
Beautiful…those eyes…
Awesome show! (If been lucky to see it on the last day.)
