I just updated my blogging software to WordPress 2.5. The update went smoothly, though it always feels scary to me when I delete the old files before putting the new ones on the server. Make sure you save your database, make a copy of the old files, preserve your config file, and don’t delete any custom themes or plugins from your wp-content folder.

WP 2.5 has a lot of new stuff in the admin section. My favorite is the built in plugin for your WordPress stats, and when writing a new post it now easily allows for embedding media.
