My brother sent me this photo of the sand sculptures created for the Democratic debate in Myrtle Beach. It looks like Edwards got his nose knocked off, vandalism or weather, I don’t know.

These characters remind me of something you would see in a Hayao Miyazaki film, like the great Spirited Away. Can anyone tell me if they are traditional Japanese folk characters? On St. Mark’s Place in the East Village.
