Ah, Mike. I went in there when I was over in 2004. Thanks for the memories…not of going into Key Food, obviously - although it is good to see somewhere in New York City that I actually set foot in - but of other things. How is the old CBGB site looking?

Is there a karaoke sushi bar - no fish for me, vegetarian - somewhere in 2nd Ave.? I had a bit to drink so I couldn`t remember where it was exactly but I seem to remember meeting up with a wonderful mate on 2nd Ave., after she finished work, and walking straight along 2nd Ave. Bloody hell, the PA system in that place was loud!

Do you do requests? Any photos of Marion`s Bar on The Bowery, Elizabeth Street, and the old CBGB`s site soon?

  4. The store has improved a lot recently. I haven’t stepped over an unconscious person in the aisles in a long time. Fruit and veg is crummy, but they’ve got a particular cheese I’m addicted to…won’t tell you which one or you’ll buy it. ;)

  5. I buy their organic potatoes, though you never know how much they’ll cost until you get to the register, and they often have a good deal on orange juice. I get my cheese at Trader Joe’s.

  6. It’s worth going to Whole Foods for produce, but they can be pricey. Met Foods over on 2nd Ave has great prices and the best grape tomatoes…they’re very friendly in there, but don’t have as much selection.
