Psychic Vacuum

Sign the waiver and enter Mike Nelson’s Psychic Vacuum labyrinth. Southeast corner of Essex and Delancey Streets. Part of today and tomorrow’s Open House New York activities.

I used a monopod to steady my camera enough to use long exposures and no flash to get many of these shots.

  7. "sign the waiver’?

I’m imagining what is in that document and feeling uneasy…

    Intriguing set of photos

  8. I’m sure I signed my life away, probably should have read it. The space was pretty raw, that’s what I loved about it. You entered through the entrance to a long abandoned, grease and dust encrusted Chinese restaurant in near darkness, and then had to wend your way through a labyrinth of unmarked doors. It was a delight.

  9. Sounds like my kind of place

  10. great shot

  11. Having the opportunity to roam through that space was so much fun.
