Chalk stencils from Heather Johnson underneath the approach to the Williamsburg Bridge. She transcribed snippets of conversation heard in the neighborhood. This was done for the Conflux Festival.

  1. Really like these Gamma. I am at work so will check the video later.

    If it doesn’t explain how does she do this? A stencil of sticky spray and then blow coloured chalk dust onto it?

  2. She used sticks of very soft colored chalk, that she rubbed over the hand-cut stencils. I was amazed at how crisp she got the edges.
