Bubble Wrap Bird Hovel
Saturday, March 24th, 2007I have been told that this is the website of the artist who created these things. I was sure that they were the work of a local eccentric, probably homeless, and likely obsessive/compulsive at the very least. The only thing that put me off that theory at all was the consistent use of the plastic straps to affix the houses. Search for Bird Hovel on the Gammablog

wow.
between these and the red shoeist we sure live in interesting times.
I’ve yet to find any of those shoes.
is the one on the abandoned bike (2nd ave f) gone?
this hovel looks dangerous
You thinking of moving in, celso?
I never saw that one, Adam.
at the risk of letting the drunk romanian robots (*) that seem to be obsessed with it in on the actual location, the last one i posted is a few storefronts north of the site of celso’s recent brilliant curatorial efforts.
[edit to add, celso's right! maybe we should invite the boston pd to check into these?!]
(*) just had a picture get a bazillion hits when it got "blogged" by one of those weird adcluttered robot generated api feed sucking sites that seem to feed off of flickr
Oh, I was thinking that you were talking about a bird hovel attached to a bike. If I get my ass out of the apartment today I’ll check out the bike. I always lookout for drunk robots no matter what nationality.
[...] Tree huts remind me of bird hovels. More on the hovels here. [...]
