   Alot of the work is taking place underneath the esplanade, some pretty major restructuring. When they first fenced things off (~2002-2003) they said it would take more then 3 or 4 years to finish.

   Yeah, I remember them saying that it was unsafe. I imagine fixing the foundation with all that water in the way is no easy job. I miss riding my bike there.

   Wish I could claim it was my eye, it was mostly the one damn spot I could squeeze my camera through the fence. I did go down there at sunset though to take advantage of the light.
