Thanks for the Gore B on the Bowery photo last month. I walked along there - from Elizabeth St. - every day when I visited in 2004.
I walked back from 11th St. (thanks for that photo too) to Elizabeth St. a couple of nights and got lost, believe it or not. I ended up in Attorney St. one night! Don`t laugh!
Greg Palast is at Voxpop in Brooklyn this Saturday…
By the way, did you go to Palast`s fundraiser at the CBGB`s Gallery in Feb. 2004? That was one of the reasons for visiting New York.
Greg got into a bit of bother with Homeland Security recently; you should be able to find out more on his site.
He did a brilliant report on New Orleans one year after Katrina, for Democracy Now, a few weeks ago. Exxon didn`t like the team filming their refinery during the making of the report so Homeland Security were called in. It`s alright, Exxon have backed down.
