Pinnacle Flag

When high steel workers reach the highest point of their construction tradition has them flying a flag. So it looks like the whatever it is on Allen Street is as high as it is going to get. Now the question is how high is the building on Houston and Ludlow next to Katz’s going to get.

  2. Chist, what a monster!

  3. is it a dorm? How do they get permission to build that high?

    I like your photo, gamma.

  4. I heard that it was a hotel, but I don’t have any confirmation on that. You got anything lucky dog? I’m feeling too lazy to research it myself. :)

  5. the building is gonna be a 23-story residential building (rental, not condos) with retail on the ground floor. there’s gonna be 242 apartments., about 11 apts on each floor.

the developer is edison properties, they own the edison parkfast parking garages, and the manhattan mini storage warehouses. the parkifast parking bit is interesting because these guys are building on top of a municipal parking lot.

….so they have warehouses for cars, warehouses for clothes, and in a year or two, a warehouse for people.

  6. Thanks LD, are you in the real estate business? Where do you go for this information?

if it gives you an address for the construction site (188 ludlow), you can go a bit further.

  8. Good ol’ Google, thanks again LD.
