Everyone knows that natives had great respect for their environment which we sadly do not have it, anyway it is a beautiful relief and I am happy I learned about it.
Joe, you would have to see the rest of the Manhattan bridge, which is probably the ugliest of the major NYC bridges, very industrial looking, to understand why I called it absurd. They have this glorious arch as an entrance to a dull, prosaic bridge.
