Thursday, May 25th, 2006These are prop planes but earlier in the morning my adrenalin got pumped from the sound of low flying jets. Yeah that’s the sound we New Yorkers really appreciate. Especially coincident with sirens. I google newsed military jets and nyc and fortunately came up with a story about Fleet Week. I wasn’t quick enough with my camera to get a shot of the jets but these planes circled over Manhattan for about an hour. View Large
The jets flying over earlier were the Blue Angels, the Navy’s stunt flyers. The colorfully painted C-130 Hercules is called “Fat Albert.” Thank you dmansouri for the identification.
