From Niznoz: “It’s the Metro theatre on Broadway and 99th. It recently closed, again, and while the outside is protected as a landmark, the concern in the neighborhood is that it’s going to be gutted and turned into a supermarket. It’s a Deco classic.”

Yeah that whole neighborhood is wracked with construction. This crane is right next to the theater.
And there’s another building going up across the street. Feh.
Yeah, it’s a huge unphotogenic, noisy pit. I put your observations about the Metro on my blog.
