Swoon pasted these amazing cut-outs a couple of months ago. I saw a few photos show up on Flickr, but I hadn’t found any of them myself.
I wrote Swoon and told her how much I liked them. She replied: “thanks, glad you like the bony mermaid, i was in florida when i made that, out in the ocean swimming and the image showed up in my head in one piece so i just had to draw it. sometimes the strangest things…”

I saw these folks giving out wrapped presents to the homeless in Tompkins Square Park. I asked them what group they belonged to. They said none, it’s just what they do on Christmas mornings. The packages contain a warm hoodie and a hat. View Large
